They are the same race. How would it be racist?
i'm not sure if this is new since it is hard to keep up with the ever changing jw.
it is morphing so much.
i went to jw.org tv video for november and around 53 or 54 minutes into the broadcast the gb guy introduce a music video called "we won't forget you".

I'm not a music buff but it kinda of sounds like the style of Josh Groban.

i thought you guys would like it.
required accessories (not included): new world translation of the holy scriptures, reasoning from the scriptures.
I see a major problem with this board game.... The question cards will be wrong within a year or perhaps less when "new light" "adjusted knowledge" is released. Then the game will be apostate material.
:)
josh here, new to the board.
glad to know this site is here.. i would not be writing this if it were not 2014. i was a ministerial servant and regular pioneer who left the jehovahs witnesses back in 1995/96, around that time.
i left suddenly, didnt fade away, just left when something clicked one day in my head during the morning shower and made me realize this religion wasnt true.
I left in 1995 too. I was young and recently graduate highschool. If I stayed trapped in the religion I wouldn't have a college education, a good job, a home, and a retirement fund. I more than likely would be working part-time while pioneering if I stayed in.
gb member and so called "annointed" person geoffry jackson is caught red handed on video doing some worldly dancing and sexual gyrating (they have spoken against such manner of dancing on several occasions) with a woman who is not his wife!!!
i can only imagine what they do off camera now!!!.
i would not have even considerd doing such a thing on the dance floor with a woman, especially if it was not my wife, and i'm not even one of the so called "annointed" smh!!!
Reading the title I expected to see something outrageous. What I saw was nothing out of the ordinary. Anyone outside of the JW religion or not having any experience with it would think this post to be quite strange. However being raised in it and knowing that his dancing, though poorly, is nothing to get worked over, but would be condemn by most elders. In fact there has been countless articles and special talks on this sort of activity.
Overall this video will have little impact on most witnesses or non-witnesses as it comes across as harmless. If he was grinding her or other dancing then it would be different.
"stay alive till '75.
" remember that?
note: this is the year 5774 not 2014. why didn't they tell you that in 5735 (1975 ad?
I think John has had too many anal probes from aliens.
thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

Yes
Had this person been DFed or in real danger of being DFed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?
No, she was in good standing and liked by most in the Hall.
Would you consider that any shunning of the person might have pushed a person over the edge?
She was never shunned.
What status did they have in the cong - baptized or not, elder, MS, woman, minor, active or not, any abuse issues, possible discipline coming up. . .
She was baptized for perhaps 15 years.
She was a very beautiful woman of the age 29 or 30 at the time of her suicide. Her JW husband left her for another christian sister several years earlier. He was DF but quickly reinstated the same year. She was severely depressed and would comfort herself with booze. Her sister lived beside her and went in her house to find her nude hanging from a rafter.
This happened I believe in 1999 or early 2000. So sad and what a waste of life. I left the religion shortly afterwards so I have not much knowledge of other suicides.
i like so many americans left my parent's house as soon as i could (age 19).
i would see them maybe one or two times a year for the next ten years.
when i hit thirty and got married it was even less frequent.
I like so many Americans left my parent's house as soon as I could (age 19). I would see them maybe one or two times a year for the next ten years. When I hit thirty and got married it was even less frequent. However now that they are retired at sixty two and I had my daughter last year they visit monthly. I never really took the time because of work and just the busy life so many of us live to take notice of my parents. In the living room of my house I looked over at my father. Most of his hair is gone, his face has aged much in comparison to the man that raised me. Though retirement has done him good from his high stressed career, time has caught up with him. My mother too looks so tired and worned though she is only recently retired and I hope retirement will bring her some happiness; though she puts her hope in The Society.
It was then I got this idea to go to the bathroom and stare in the mirror. Really, I have never bothered to look in the mirror. It is just a passing glance to the shower or the occasional glance while brushing my teeth. Though I'm only thirty seven, the face staring back at me looks like a man well pass his mid-40's. My dark brown hair is streaked with grey, dark circles under my eyes, and the early stages of facial wrinkles.
I felt so much older and that my youth slipped away to a religion that didn't allow for a normal childhood. Though I felt a momentary anger at parents in the other room it soon passed as I heard my baby laughing. They bought into the lies and thought a promise of eternal life for their family appealing. Now nearing forty years later and we are all aging, and so many have passed away. I get a little sad when I have time to think about how short our lives are and is why perhaps I never took notice.
So when did you notice that you feel old or that life went by fast? I know with good health I should see another 40 or 50 years but that really isn't too far off.
i overheard this argument re the new tract campaign.
one elder told a publisher, to hide the tract in the mailbox if the home owner wasn't home.
the publisher was used to folding the tip of the tract, and just left a tip showing.
If I ever saw anyone open my mail box other than a postal employee I would light their ass on fire. I manage to make sure most of my accounts don't send statements but I do get medical statements.
